On October 24 last year, OPPO introduced the new OPPO Find X8 series, comprising the standard OPPO Find X8 and the Pro version. This lineup marked the first appearance of OPPO’s innovative Tidal Engine, along with MediaTek’s latest flagship Dimensity 9400 chip. The result was unprecedented performance on the Dimensity platform, delivering smooth, full-frame gameplay in mainstream titles and exceptional power efficiency. The series quickly garnered widespread acclaim.
Previous leaks also suggested that OPPO would launch a high-end “Ultra” edition, aimed squarely at mobile photography. Recently, a well-known tech blogger provided additional details about this much-anticipated device.
According to the latest information, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra will make its debut in the first half of this year. It is expected to focus heavily on imaging capabilities, featuring a 50MP quad-camera system on the rear. The primary camera is a one-inch Sony LYT900 sensor, supported by two 50MP periscope telephoto lenses and an ultra-wide-angle lens. This dual-periscope design is considered one of the industry’s most advanced. Unlike traditional single-periscope setups, the dual-periscope arrangement covers more focal lengths, enabling seamless zoom from 3x to 6x. This provides greater creative flexibility and distinct atmospheric effects at different zoom levels.

Other reports suggest that the OPPO Find X8 Ultra will rival Apple’s flagship phones by employing a custom 6.8-inch top-tier display with resolutions ranging from 1.5K to 2K, along with LTPO technology. It will also support low-brightness DC dimming for improved eye protection. This custom screen is expected to deliver extremely narrow bezels similar to Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Under the hood, the phone will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, include a single-point ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and house a silicon battery of around 6000mAh. Fast charging options will likely include 80W wired charging and a full-power 50W wireless solution. Additionally, a glass body construction and IP68/69 water-resistance rating are expected.
The OPPO Find X8 Ultra is rumored to make its first appearance as early as March, with a likely increase in pricing. Further details remain under wraps, so stay tuned for more updates.
